Mataikona in Māori means "foresight". This is very close to the way we make our decisions with consideration and respect for nature and the community.

Our Story

The SWISS EMIGRATE

We are a Swiss family who have been living in New Zealand since 2011.

A decade ago, after careful consideration, we decided to leave the fast-paced and narrow way of life in Switzerland.

"Back to the Roots" was our goal. To reawaken our passion for farming, we decided to go to New Zealand (Aotearoa - Land of the Long White Cloud).

Partnership

Paddy (Māori) & Robin (Swiss & kiwi)

Wero (Maori - sting) has chosen a long-term commitment to care for the bees until the unique Mānuka honey production. The partnership with Wero ensures quality development with continuous production of high quality Mānuka honey.

Paddy and Robin share a passion for beekeeping, the Mānuka, the conservation of our planet. However, at the heart of it all is family, we practice with tradition, respect and trust to care for future generations.
